UNO Sustainability Metrics

Over the past several years, the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) has built a solid foundation with respect to sustainability. UNO values sustainability and sees it as a means to achieve its goals of placing students first, being academically excellent, and engaging with the community. 

UNO sustainability goals align with the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s (UNMC) goals, which makes them more cohesive and leverage the strengths of each institution. 

UNO established five (5) sustainability goals, focusing on energy, buildings, and emissions; materials, waste, and recycling; water and sustainable sites; campus mobility and planning; and engagement (campus culture and community engagement). This report is an update on the progress towards these 5 sustainability goals committed to by UNO.
